UVI has announced the release of the Retro Organ Suite, a suite of electronic organs from the 20th century.
Retro Organ Suite (ROS) is designed to provide an essential suite of electronic organ instruments that showcase the natural character and tonal range of a diverse selection of electronic organs including the Hammond B3, Vox Continental, Eminent Grand Theater 2500, Korg CX-3, Philips Philicorda, Philips AG7500, Farfisa Compact Duo, Farfisa Combo Compact, Elka Classic and Hammond M100.
Aiming to preserve the sound of these instruments, deep sampling sessions were made with fully restored units, capturing sound from the built-in speakers, rotary cabinets, with numerous settings, and even incidental mechanical sounds from playing them. Leveraging these samples within the UVI Engine flexible hybrid-instruments are created, providing users with both the untreated sounds of the original hardware and the advanced sound design facility of a modern digital studio.
All sounds in ROS can be customized from subtle to extreme effect; shape your ideal jazz organ, create a ripping lead from a '60s Italian combo, or build a brooding pad from a '40s Hammond. The samples presented in UVI instruments can serve as both destination or starting point with sound design potential.
Price: $149. There is an introductory price of $99 through September 2nd, 2015. An upgrade price of $59 is available to registered users of Retro Organs through September 30th, 2015 on uvi.net.
