Looking at xoxos.net today it look a bit strange.
Clicking on the VST page it lists all of his plugins but there is no download link.
Some of the review pages have a load of gobbledegook xml, which isn't rurik's style.
Most of the 'articles' about DJ-ing or playing guitar look like subtitles extracted from yt vids.
xoxos.net/Shop doesn't have a buy link or checkout but does list the bundles..
I swear he was doing some drone management stuff a few years ago but yeah, haven't heard from him in a while and I'm not sure this website is actually managed by him at all. Unless he's farmed out content creation to one of his generators.
But then I'd expect a knob to increase the length of the syrinx or something

Ouch! You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. Many thanks.whyterabbyt wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 10:43 amat one point, (amongst his many other foibles and shapeshifting backstories), ol' xoxycodeine there used to be very insistent that helping someone was an act of violence towards them (because something something jainism), so here's a punch in the face for ya, in the form of a link to the archive.org page you can download it from...

He does have a ytchannel, the content of which might not be suitable for everyone, but he does seem to be coding things.. some neural nets and environmental modelling by the looks of it.

I do wish he'd come back to audio DSP though

I love it. I treat synthesis like a rock guitarist would treat guitar - see if I can get a groove and a cool sound that would fit songs with hooks.
It's fun geeking out with modular synths.
It would be nice though if there were more modular enthusiasts who did music other than ambience or blip_bleep noise.

Audio synthesis is one of my favorite studies/playtime activities. i mostly do ambience and blip bloop, occasionally bleeps, and wall of noise. Sometimes i get a groove, too, particularly when i collaborate.VOODOO U wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 6:54 pmI love it. It's a bummer that xoxos isn't on this forum any more. His posts and development was quite interesting (mostly).
Thanks for the YT link CinningBao
Try out Robert Rich, Steve Roach, Ian Boddy for songs with modulars VOODOO U

Interestingly, we had a studio director who, when he pressed the wrong button on the tannoy, would say exactly that. And it was easy to hit the wrong button at 5am.

wait a sec
a button is kind of the inverse of a hole
how many buttons does a tannoy have
plus the buttons are right in front, easy to see
the male body has 6 major holes and the female body has 7?
and a couple of the holes are hard to see
from a couple of situations/positions
