Best Quadraverb or other characterful digital reverb plugins?

I cannot compare them to Quadraverb or any other OTB devices or emulations, but of the lo-fi digital reverb plugins I have tried, these two are distinctively digital, fun, characterful, and fly under the radar.
Schulz Audio JP-ME-1 (free) https://schulz.audio/products/jp-me-1
ReFUSE Bucketverb ($29ish on sale) https://www.refusesoftware.com/cheeseverb
Bucketverb has a much wider range, but can't argue with free on Schulz (apparently emulates a Yamaha EME-1). In my experience both vendors update their plugins regularly and are responsive to feedback.

They're a solid developer with good support.dangayle wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 8:23 pmI’ve never heard of this developer, any good? This looks very interestingFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 12:20 pm Korneff Audio has Micro Digital Reverberator which is based on the MIDIVerb and MIDIVerbII. It's IR-based [these reverbs didn't have modulation anyway] and is missing the Bloom algo. They're also apparently working on a pure algorithmic version with the Bloom algo at some point. My understanding is these are pretty much the same algorithms as in the Quadraverb (I have a GT version in the basement I haven't turned on since college).

You can find Quadraverb impulses on the net, too, to use with your favourite convolution reverb.

A Quadraverb and a Rev250 walk into a bar. The bartender says, character reverbs only! Does either of them leave?Scrubbing Monkeys wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 5:50 pm This is a character reverb nothing to do with Quadraverb....

Im thinking character in these cases is probably 16 bit limitations.Had a Q verb back in the day....sounded great to me. Run Vallhalla through TAL DAC... .choose your bits. Instant chacter verb

One of my go-to tricks is to use Bitwig's Reverb and put something fun inside the Tank or Wet FX slot, like Eventide's Crushstation.
