Hi folks,

I decided to buy Cubase 13 artist recently to create some stuff (mainly rock / metal), after having tested it for several weeks.
I like some of its features (chords tracks is great), and start to get used to it.
But I would like to know if some videos of experimented people creating this kind of songs from 'start to finish' (even if very small songs) exist, in a tutorial way, to get some tips or more efficient ways to create / produce.
Any suggestions eventually? Or some other resources? How did you guys get the hang of it, and know the typical workflow of cubase?

I am a keyboardist, using many vst (typically NI komplete ultimate).
I'd really appreciate some 'examples' to learn as I don't know if I'm doing things right (or at least get some tips to be more efficient in the process).

Thanks a lot!

I would start it with the shortkeys, there is a lovely animgif-based site about them https://soundpeaks.pages.dev/blog/15914 ... -examples/

the workflow involves things like lanes and track versions, it was a good intro video

Dunno about track start to finish, but, Steinberg themselves have quite a few learning videos on their site (switch to the language of your choice at the bottom of the page): https://www.steinberg.net/de/cubase/learn/

Thank you for this suggestion! I indeed had a quick look at this already but didn't watch everything yet. Definitely will though, lots of interesting stuff.

Funny, Got out my old ASK video SX3 DVDs from 2005... Much better quality than I see nowadays plus the babes intro each chapter, Boy they don't make 'em like that anymore... The Cubase & Reason one's smiley & intelligent... The one for Ableton 5 rather presented in 'loose' fashion with nuances & suggestive nature>>>
