Hi,

Just decided to switch, but the whole workflow seems super confusing.
Are there any up to date (can be paid) tutorials you guys would recommend?

Thanks!

Coming from Logic I would ignore the clip side and concentrate first on the arrangement (though I've not used clip side ever even knowing how it works, just does not work for me).
You'll be amazed how fast you are ready to put notes up to the tracks compared to logic (or any other behemoth daw) :)

Here is 4.5 hours of information FOR FREE in video formats from Fanu who is a certified Live teacher: https://www.dogsonacid.com/threads/fanu ... rs.825599/

Yes they're for the older Live but they will still work, not so much has been changed to Live 12.
Soft Knees - Live 12, Diva, Omnisphere, Slate Digital VSX, TDR, Kush Audio, U-He, PA, Valhalla, Fuse, Pulsar, NI, OekSound etc. on Win11Pro R7950X & RME AiO Pro

wouldn't waste time with videos
Yep, would read the manual first.

And, Live is really peculiar in its workflow. If you didn't familiarize yourself with what it's like before buying, then you will probably surprised how different it is to a linear DAW like Logic.

why would you switch, then, given that that workflow is pretty much the point of Live?

At the very least, watch Loopop's video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NfnRShtIFE
my other modular synth is a bugbrand

I switched because it’s better for electronic music, has better/faster sound manipulation etc.
Also better Piano roll and other stuff.

What don’t you understand? Being to completely new DAW can be rather confusing, no?

if you're in EDM then the Multiplier ones are very good ones IMO in the general tips and tricks with Live category https://www.groove3.com/browse/adam-pol ... multiplier can start with https://www.groove3.com/products/Ableto ... om-Scratch

But why are you switching to a DAW with « super confusing workflow » ?

You can always go back... the just announced Logic Pro 11 is a free update

if your an edm person check out echo sound works. he does a lot of tutorials with both ableton and logic, sometimes even showing how to in the same video with both daws. he doesnt upload as much anymore but hes a solid source. ableton live 12 imo is clunky with the browser esp in comparison to logic pro with the 3rd party tool plugsearch (new version is an omega level tool better then anything i think apple could do tbh). But Ableton has a better piano roll and automation 100%. The split notes feature was great for syncopating chord progressions when I was using it.
