So how does the sample addon work with third party libraries?

Hey Steven,

Remarkably well...

You wont need to use the sample import, Omni 2 has a better way.

Omnisphere 2 creates a "package" from the presets and samples. (to export)
There is no need to find and gather files from different places.
This "package" holds all the necessary files and data to make importing them very simple.

Essentially, the user just imports the single "Rain.omnisphere" file, thats it.

Its refreshingly simple. :)

Ah ok, that's interesting. So when I receive the order, will it have any of the samples as individual wav bytes or can I simply export?

The presets I guess are based around samples you've imported for the soundpack. I've not delved into the belly of Omnisphere audio import and preset making. What I was wondering is the audio sample you;'ve used are they supplied also serpeately as WAV, or is there a way to extract them?

Maybe a naive questions, just crossed my mind? :)

Very cool. My concern (from reading other threads) was how it keeps them compartmentalised from other samples. For example, say your samples are all labelled sample A, sample B etc, and Omnisphere import puts them all in a central user folder, what happens if another dev also uses those names, would they get overwritten by the import process? Or do they get put in separate subfolders too?

When imported, they become part of the core sample library.

Omni 2 stores them within two files (one ending *.db and one *.zmap).

So there's no way to extraxt wav files - besides the workaround of recording Omni's raw output.

Thanks PA, I thought there would be something under the hood and a kind of simple workaround.

From what I am seeing, that is not likely as there is segregation between sets.
I am also using names for the waves that would be very unlikely (essentially impossible) for others to use.
Omnisphere 2 seems to handle the preset/wav data in a well organized manner.
Also, some of the speculations made about the file storage is not completely accurate.
It is very well implemented and organized.
