Outer Space is a faithful emulation plugin of a famous vintage tape echo made in the early seventies. As the original unit, Outer Space features an echo section with three playback heads and a spring reverb tank.
We have modelled three different tape frequency responses and saturations, along with all the analog imperfections of tape recording/playback.

What delay times are going to be available? fixed, per head or continuous?

Looks pretty much perfect to me! Will it somehow be possible to set the delay time to 0 so that I can use it as just a tape emulation (wow&flutter, saturation)?

Is it just me or is the Tape Type setting difficult to see? I can tell it's set to RT in the screenshot, but it's kind of difficult to make out.

Otherwise, it looks very good. I've been enjoying the Spring when combined with another delay, so having a full blown emulation in one unit will be very welcome.

You can sync (from 1/1 to 1/16T) or you can change it in ms. Each head has a different range when not synced, but you can manually change each head time independently using the three boxes.

Thanks! No, at least not at the moment, but could be a nice feature to add in the future. I'm considering adding a rear panel with additional settings. We'll see

Wow, what a substantial upgrade from the original. I find it incredibly generous of AudioThing to give this to existing owners. I can't wait to try it out!

Outer Space beta

This is SR88 into Fog Convolver just to fluff out the drums. That into Outer Space with a simple echo into the spring reverb. Intensity (feedback) set at 75%. Old tape with wow and flutter. Forced fade out before your head falls off. 96/24 mastered. Goodhertz down-sampled.

This thing looks dope and was looking for a Space Delay plugin anyway. Will get this thing as soon as it will be released.

You'd be smarter buying Outer Verb right now at its current price (before Outer Space is released), since you'll get the more expensive (relative word…) Outer Space as a free 'upgrade' to Outer Verb.

Ok, just purchased it directly, even without creating an account ( i thought i´ll be prompted to create an account at some point during the purchase process, but i wasn´t). How will i get the upcoming release now?

Thanks! You don't need an account to purchase. You can create it later if you need to update, or redownload installers and licenses. Just use the same email address you used to purchase: https://www.audiothing.net/account/signup/

Regarding the upgrade, Outer Verb owners will receive an email with either a registration link or coupon. We are now working on some demo and videos, release should be next week (not sure exactly when, but soon!)
