We are so excited to bring you the results of many months of developing and rethinking. Granulizer is a granular synthesis software synthesizer intended for creative sound design.

It features a very versatile DSP engine that can go all the way from metallic crunch and grainy fuzziness to smooth reverb-like tones, spectral widening or chaotic soundscapes. The controls are deliberately kept few and simple, but you can get a great variety of really rich sounds with unusual harmonic content out of Granulizer.

Granulizer features:
  • High quality audio engine that performs time-stretching, pitch-shifting, granular resynthesis and spectrum manipulation
  • Diffusion effect for wide droney sounds (think spectral reverb)
  • Spectral Shaping
  • Frequency shifter for atonal variations
  • Control over subtle randomization of certain internal parameters ("Magic" knob)
  • Attack/Release envelope
  • Waveform view with loop selection
  • Minimal, clean UI

It's nice guys. I have been looking for something like this. Hope you get a lot of folks buying in. Nice job with including window shapes for the grains. Don't see that a lot.

Thanks for the feedback!

Congrats on the release! Always interesting to see new granular synths coming out, although I have to admit that my grain grounds are already very well covered by other powerful granular synths, so the new ones coming out are better be good to worth it. I'll give it a try as soon as I have some quite time.

Question: what does the 'magic' parameter do beside controlling randomization of certain internal parameters? What parameters are randomized under the hood?

Thanks!

Thank you Neon Breath. Indeed Granular Synthesis can be very creative and fun! The magic parameter as you said is controlling internal analysis and synthesis parameters. The trick here is that this is taking place per channel giving a wide stereo effect. Small values make the sound wide, whereas large values produce extreme glitch-like effects. It can also get quite interesting when you apply it on vocals or speech !

Interesting. Thanks for the quick response.

Looking forward to try it :tu: ...What are the demo restrictions?

Demo is fully functional, but it does not save it's state. Meaning that even if you save your work, the next time you reopen it, the plugin will be initialized.

:tu: thanks again!
