HIVE2 - Amp1 modulating AmpEnv1: Release

Hi,

I'm looking at the preset "Sunset Strings" from the Metaphorium package and I do not fully understand the modulation (see subject and

When the modulation is on, the release time gets shortened as shown by the modulation indicator.
My questions are:

• What part of Amp1 modulates the release time exactly?

• Shouldn't there be some kind of weird endless modulation loop?

• Could I not just dial down on the release and get the same result?

The Amp Release is being multiplied by itself to create a different curve...

Hmm.. ok. Thanks for the answers. I will have a look.

This set-up just amplifies the downwards bend of the release curve.
The result is that the fade-out of AMP1 isn't shortened, but goes down much quicker before it flattens out.
