Hello everyone,

Ever since the Dune OST came out I’ve been obsessed with diving deeper into synthesis and mastering u-he Zebra2. As a challenge, I decided to focus my studies on one sound source at a time, starting with Noize, and share my results with a community.

DUST is a product of a deliberate research into noise shaping capabilities and sound-design techniques of u-he’s flagship synth, ranging from simple AM to FM and physical modelling. As a result, all of the sounds were programmed from a single source - Zebra's Noise Oscillator.

During this experiment I’ve naturally gravitated to a more cinematic style of sounds (mostly epic drums) in the vein of Hans Zimmer’s fantastic hybrid scores for Dune, Bladerunner and The Dark Knight movies.
