Public Beta of Glitch Pad, an Experimental Synth VST3/VST2 plug-in for 64-Bit Windows.
Mac AU/VST3.
Glitch Pad was originally a 2002 SynC Modular patch. The new VST synth features a rewritten and improved oscillator derived from the same algorithm designed in 2002, now natively coded in C++.
Download at:
https://nusofting.com/glitch_pad_beta
This early Beta of "Glitch Pad" is fully functional, free to download and use. 23 sound presets are included.
Audio demo: 11 instances: all sounds here are made using Glitch Pad

It's interesting, the knobs actually do things as opposed to most synths I try. I don't see any huge worthless mod matrixes. Too bad there aren't presets so far.

I apologize for there is no installer yet, your need to copy the presets from the zipRunBeerRun wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 7:37 pm It's interesting, the knobs actually do things as opposed to most synths I try. I don't see any huge worthless mod matrixes. Too bad there aren't presets so far.
Code: Select all
1) Copy the "Glitch Pad.dll" into your 64-bit VST2 plugins folder.
2) Copy the "Glitch Pad.vst3" into
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
3) Open the plugin in your VST Host, click [load] on the Glitch Pad GUI
to open the preset folder. Copy there the XML preset files.

Fascinating. I'll keep an eye out for when a mac version drops. Wish you had a newsletter signup so I don't miss it.

Luigi has already answered, but no. macOS support is still happening. Windows betas and alphas just come out earlier because it takes me a little while to catch up.
I hope he won't mind me teasing, but I'm currently playing (testing out) on macOS another new NUSofting Fertile Audio Tool in the pipeline.

Thanks masterhiggins, I will probably set up a NUSofting newsletter next month. So much to to do for single developer.masterhiggins wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 4:06 am Fascinating. I'll keep an eye out for when a mac version drops. Wish you had a newsletter signup so I don't miss it.
You may bug Mr. blurk (see his reply above) for Mac versions, Ha ha.

I gave Glitch Pad a spin in Bitwig.
All went fine.
I like the GUI, with its visualisation of the soundwave.
It's pretty, too.
I like Glitch Pad sonically, too.
Easy to grasp, yet a lot of fun while turning knobs.

Mac Versions Ready! AU/VST3 - Apple Silicon and Intel
https://nusofting.com/glitch_pad_beta
There you have an installer BUT the preset must still be copied manually from the zip.
On the GUI click the [load] button and use the file dialogue to go to the directory with presets. Load one and they are all loaded.
Looking forward to Mac users feedback.

Purely FYI, A detail that won't bother anyone:
I recently loaded GlitchPad in VCV Rack, and I noticed the (pretty!) flash overlay.
When loaded straight in Bitwig, that doesn't happen (unless I close and re-open GlitchPad's UI).
Perhaps Bitwig somehow pre-loads the GUI, before rendering it?
