Is beat detection not working?

In the last few versions of 5.1 as well as the 5.2 beta, it seems like Bitwig is unable to figure out the BPM of loops when I drag them into a clip. Everything defaults to the project tempo, and then I have to manually enter the loop's BPM and correct the clip's loop endpoint. I think the preview with autosync to project tempo is not working either. Is anyone else having this issue?

It looks like in 5.0 and above, the side browser must be set to preview with sync to project tempo for Bitwig to also automatically stretch the file to tempo on clip creation. If I remember correctly, prior to 5.0, it didn't matter what the preference for the preview panel was, it always stretched to tempo on import if the file was above a minimum threshold.
