AlphaTheta announces Euphonia: Four-Channel Rotary Mixer

-

AlphaTheta (Pioneer DJ) has introduced a new four-channel rotary mixer called the Euphonia, deviating from the modern conventional club standards with several unique attributes.

One unique feature is the inclusion of a Rupert Neve Designs transformer circuit at the output stage. This partnership plays a vital role in shaping the sound of the euphonia, aiming to rival high-end boutique rotaries.

The Euphonia combines digital and analog elements. It includes a 32-bit ADA converter for its digital FX section, featuring a high-pass filter, delay, tape echo, echo verb, reverb, and shimmer. Additionally, a send-return option allows for the integration of external send effects.

Another unique aspect is the multi-band send FX via a 'Send Boost' function.
Each channel offers a traditional three-band EQ and send for effects, although a dedicated filter per channel is absent to avoid introducing an additional digital stage to each input.

The VU meters are also unconventional, incorporating an "energy visualiser" that combines the output of all four channels into a single VU readout, while also providing four separate colored needles, one for each channel.

The Euphonia is priced at €3,799 / $3,799 and will be available from Sweetwater.
