The ACM210X1 Graphical EQ Plug-In for Linux

Applied Computer Music Technologies has released ACM210X1, a graphical EQ plug-in for Linux that provides up to ten filter bands, including five peak filter types with varying gain / Q dependency, together with low and high shelf, low-pass, high-pass and band-pass. All the filters have a de-cramped response, designed to closely match that of equivalent analogue filters.

The company states that:

At commonly used sample rates such as 44100Hz and 48000Hz, conventional digital EQs can cause frequency response cramping as the filter frequency approaches its upper limit. Conventional solutions such as oversampling can be CPU intensive, and introduce additional latency or other artefacts. The ACM210X1 uses innovative analogue filter modelling technology to provide a zero latency de-cramped response, replicating that of an equivalent analogue filter without requiring oversampling.

ACM210X1 is available in VST, VST3, JACK and CLAP formats for Linux with a demo provided free to download. The plug-in includes a comprehensive manual and easy to use installer.
