Bitley releases "Deep Mining" for Reason and DeepMind

Bitley has released Deep Mining, a soundset that comes in two different versions:

  1. A bank of system exclusive (.syx) patches for the Behringer DeepMind synths.
  2. A refill consisting of NN-XT patches with multisamples & round robin layers of some select waveform combinations.

While the refill isn't a full representative of the immense depth and capabilities of the analog hardware it gives a certain feel of the synth.

The process included sampling with an open filter, so all the filtering in the refill takes place in the virtual realm thanks to the possibilities of the NN-XT sampler. This also allowed creating tempo synced patches, bandpass filtering on a few sounds and so on, thus in ways giving DeepMind additional possibilities.

The refill provides 60 patches divided into 8 different banks; Plucks, Polysynths, Bass, Strings and a few others.

The SysEx bank comes with 16 patches individually saved as SysEx files.

Each SysEx patch has taken up to 2-3 hours to create. Sounds the DeepMind did not have from factory; rather more traditional in their design following OBX, Prophet, Juno and Moog sound routes.

Both banks are priced at $7.99.
