NAMM 2007Cakewalk announces SONAR LE update

-
Cakewalk

Cakewalk has announced an update to SONAR LE with new features from SONAR 6. SONAR LE provides a music production studio in an OEM offering, giving users what they need to get started creating music on Windows XP, X64, or Vista PCs.

SONAR LE has been made easier and more powerful with user interface enhancements including a redesigned Console View, Synth Rack, and new Track Icons. Integrated VST support removes the need for a VST wrapper/adapter. With x64 support, SONAR LE will natively run on the new generation of 64-bit computers running Windows XP x64 or Windows Vista x64, providing increased performance. Other features include control surface support, 14 included audio effects, powerful instruments, and the capability to record at sample rates of up to 192 kHz. The program also adds support for CueChunk Markers, for importing marker data from wave files created by popular digital field recorders.

The new version of SONAR LE will be available from Cakewalk for OEM bundling in February 2007. SONAR LE will be available as a stand alone application or as part of the Production Plus Pack which includes Project5 LE and Dimension LE.
