CC4 have released three free VST instruments for Windows - The Box, kabgnals and the amazing Thingumajig.
The Box (v0.9.5) is a basic subtractive synth.
Features:
- Two bank switches to allow the combination of the sound from the oscillators.
- Four oscillators (A, B, C, & D) with variable waveshapes accessible through a panel control.
- Coarse and fine tuning controls for each of the four oscillators.
- Various filters with cutoff and resonance control for most of the filters.
- Three ADSRs for each oscillator to allow control over pitch, filter, and amp.
- Two assignable LFOs per oscillator.
- Pan and volume controls for each oscillator.
- An EFX A/B and C/D section with a choice of echo, flanging, or an additional LPF.
- Solid Mix control to allow for smooth mixing between the banks.
kabgnals (v0.8.5) is a frequency modulation/phase distortion synth.
Features:
- 2 banks for oscillator selection.
- Modulation & amplitude envelope control.
- Adjustments and LFO controls for modulation, pulse width, pitch, and pan.
- Low pass filter for bank one, and high pass filter for bank two.
Thingumajig (v1.0) is a virtual "digialog noise generating thingumajig".
Features:
- Thingumajig can be set to sync with your VST Host or set to
free run. - Thingumajig contains five oscillating thingamabobs: three rhythmic thingamabobs, one clicky thingamabob, and one semi-melodic thingamabob.
- Three modifier doohickeys that control various whatchamacallits.
- Three ADSRs with emphasis that control various whatchamacallits of the oscillating thingamabobs.
- Three rows of blinkies with flow controls.
