Davisynth has released a free version 1.3a update to Low Tides, its flagship spectrum analysis plug-in.
Version 1.3 introduces Live Freeze, a new feature that allows users to scrub through a timeline to hear the frequencies being played in a short instant. Live Freeze accomplishes this without looping or reverb in an effort to minimize spectral artifacts. Live Freeze is targeted towards artists seeking to create remixes as well as artists who want to more comfortably analyze audio that changes very quickly in frequency. In addition to Live Freeze, the update adds new visible cursors to act as references as well as a steep bandpass filter to listen to specific frequency ranges.
