G-Storm Plugins has announced the release of the String Concerto II VST plug-in and standalone application for Windows.
String Concerto II is a recreation of the Logan String Melody II. The emulation is made possible by synthesis and effects DSP techniques, not samples.
Features:
- Strings Bass (lower) and Treble (upper) sections are fully polyphonic and have separate controls for attack/release envelopes. Each section has Cello (8'), Viola (4'), and Violin (2').
- Bass instrument is 16' monophonic, low note priority for the lower two keyboard octaves.
- Ensemble has three modes: ACC (off), ORGAN (moderate), ORCH (full).
- Selectable Stereo Widening for use with ORCH mode for a lush stereo panorama.
Pricing & Availability
String Concerto II for Windows costs $10. A free trial version is available with an intermittent noise tone burst, and the GUI virtual keyboard is disabled.
