IRCAM has announced that ASAP version 1.2.2 is now available.
The IRCAM ASAP audio plug-ins collection for creative sound transformation integrates two important new features:
- Settings for the sonar tool of the Spectral Surface plug-in to locate sounds and their harmonic content.
- A new mode for controlling formant transposition in the Pitches Brew plug-in, automatically generating a curve according to pitch transposition.
This update comes with many other improvements and fixes, which you can find in the change log:
- Fix: About window not resized according to scale factor.
- Imp: Pitches Brew - Set formant transposition frequencies to source frequencies instead of pitch frequencies.
- Fix: Pitches Brew - When the dimensions of the selection rectangle are small, clicking and dragging stretches frequencies instead of shifting them.
- Imp: ARA - Remove the label and reduce the size of zoom ruler editing pop-up windows.

- Add: ARA - An option for anchoring the time zoom to the position of the mouse or the playhead.
- Imp: Spectral Surface - Reduce audio pre-rendering crackles with the sonar tool.
- Imp: Use the Alt/Option key to trigger sonar audio rendering instead of the 'p' key.
- Add: Spectral Surface - A spinning icon on the region header when sonar tool audio pre-rendering is enabled.
- Add: ARA - Note description on the right side of the sonogram grid.
