Leisure Class Audio releases SK-8X Drums
Leisure Class Audio has announced their first sample pack: SK-8X Drums, featuring 600+ raw and processed drums samples from the Casio SK-8 keyboard. Here is what they say:
The Casio SK-8 is well known for its lo-fi sampling capabilities, but it's the sound of the crunchy PCM drums that really set it apart.
Leisure Class Audio has taken these drums far beyond their original sound by creating new drums to fill out the stock kit: toms, open hat, crash, and shaker are now included with the kick, snare, clap, closed hat, ride, congas, rim, and ride.
Through re-syntheses, re-sampling, and Jurassic Park-style DNA splicing we created these all new drums for the SK-8 that really sound like they belonged originally.
This pack has a ton of kits and processed one-shots. It can do punchy hi-fi pop to crunchy lo-fi smush and everything in between.
