Mercuriall Audio has released Rat Distortion, a new free effects pedal for the Ampbox, and updated Ampbox to version 1.3.1.
Changes in Ampbox 1.3.1
New Features:
- Added a new free distortion effect based on the ProCo Rat pedal.
- Fully free pedalboard mode. All built-in effect pedals can now be used without purchasing add-ons.
- When the preamp and power amp are disabled, the amp's visual display is hidden.
Improvements:
- Improved graphics rendering performance on Mac.
- Thread priorities more accurately defined.
- The Noise Gate algorithm has been improved.
- Improved impulse loader algorithm.
- 80% improvement in impulse loader performance.
Important Changes:
- The algorithm for determining Machine ID in the Ampbox add-on activation section has been changed. As a result, it may be necessary to re-activate previously purchased and activated add-ons.
- In some cases, when using third-party impulses, it may be necessary to readjust the Ampbox output signal level.
- At sample rates higher than 44.1 kHz, adjustment of Noise Gate effect parameters may be required.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a click sound issue when launching Ampbox in Logic Pro X.
- Fixed an issue with random volume on the audio output when selecting Parallel mode for the Delay effect.
- Fixed an issue with Ampbox crashing when closing effect windows.
