MonkeyC Audio has announced the release of Rando, a randomizing sampler plugin and standalone application for Mac and PC designed to encourage a new perspective on a user's collection of samples.
Point Rando to any folder containing samples, hit the button in the center, and a random selection of sounds will populate your keyboard or piano roll. Rando is designed to encourage the rediscovery lost samples and elements, arriving at happy accidents.
Rando is not meant to be an expensive, shiny mega-sampler – it's a lightweight creative tool that does things in a different way, helping real producers get real results. You can narrow down sample selection by type and with text search, and there's a deep-but-simple sequencer plus a creative FX section to get more out of your selections.
