Mozaic Beats Introduces AutoTheory MIDI Mapper

Mozaic Beats has introduced AutoTheory, "a new Paradigm in MIDI", for Mac OS X and Windows.

AutoTheory, the Rack Extension for Propellerhead's Reason music production software, is now available as a multi-platform MIDI mapping application. Developed to provide users with the capability of improvisation within a harmonically sound framework, AutoTheory is designed to build on the concepts of existing arpeggiation devices, while allowing users the freedom to easily create their own patterns instead of being limited to presets of pre-defined patterns.

The patented technologies found within AutoTheory are designed to allow users to take their MIDI compositions to a new level. Those with no prior knowledge of music theory can theoretically be capable of creating professional sounding chord progressions with matching melodies. Those who already possess a high skill level on the keys may be pleasantly surprised with the new levels of creativity that are sparked by the Chord Generator and Chord Editor functions.

AutoTheory addresses Chord Generation and provides a Melody Lock feature that aligns the seven defined scale tones in multiple mappings. Two of these mappings operate in a dynamic manner, where tones change position to reflect the most recent chord selected. This allows users to keep their fingers in fixed positions, while harmonizing tones are moved to their fingers. AutoTheory also provides a Chord Editor section that provides advanced users with total control over every tone, inversion and voicing within every chord.

Price: $59.99. To purchase, or for more information, contact Mozaic Beats.
