Physical Audio

Physical Audio has announced the release of major new versions of Dual Spring Reverb and Dynamic Plate Reverb. They say:

Our Plate and Spring reverbs have been rewritten from scratch using our new Physical Audio Optimisation Engine. Built purely from physical models running in real-time, they deliver maximum sound quality with innovative control.

Dual Spring Reverb models wave propagation in helical springs. The audio engine is built entirely upon the simulation of the inherent physical equations, giving creative control of the setup of the springs.

Features:

  • Independent echo time and chirp cut-off controls for each spring.
  • 7-band mode equalizer section.
  • Modelled pre-amp drive unit.
  • Reverb pre-delay.

Dynamic Plate Reverb uses a physical model of a thin metal plate to recreate the classic sound of plate reverberation. The algorithm gives control of the physical properties of the plate, allowing you to tailor the resonance to your material.

Features:

  • Continuously variable plate size and choice of 5 materials.
  • 8-band mode equalizer section.
  • Modelled pre-amp drive unit.
  • Reverb pre-delay.

Intro Price: $76/€55 each through September, 2021 (Reg. £109/€80).
