Plughugger has announced the release of A Frozen Moment in Time for Arturia SQ80 V, a lofi ambient collection of sounds, inspired by the noise and unpredictable nature of the SQ-80.
The design goal of the soundset was to work with the limitations of the synth and fully enhance its lofi quality. A large focus is set on the dirty sines and triangles of the SQ80, but also modulating of the transwaves as well as working with the short looped waveforms.
The main focus of the collection lies with pads, soundscapes and soft melodic leads, oddly tuned sine waves, arpeggios & sequences, as well as large impact hits and strange mechanical sounds.
A Frozen Moment in Time contains 148 sounds in the following categories:
