Princeton Digital has released 2016 Stereo Room, a Reverb VST plug-in for Windows. Stereo Room is one of the reverbs from the legendary Eventide SP2016.

2016 Stereo Room processes two input channels and creates a pair of diffuse reverberant outputs. It offers parameters for pre-delay, decay time, diffusion, EQ, and a unique position control. The position control simulates placing the listener anywhere within the simulated room allowing the reverb to "sit" in the mix without cluttering it up.

2016 Stereo Room supports sample rates of 44.1, 48, and 96 kHz.

It is priced at $200 and a demo version is available.

Features:

  • Level Displays and Digital Clip LED indicate the input level to the reverb.
  • Input Level control to attenuate the input to the reverb so as not to overdrive the reverb and produce distortion.
  • Mix control to control the mix between the unprocessed input and the reverberated output.
  • Kill button to quickly remove the input from the reverberator so that you can listen to the tail (reflections) caused by your input.
  • Predelay introduces a delay before the reverb effect.
  • Decay (RT60) sets the time (in seconds) for a full amplitude signal to decay by 60 dB.
  • Position control simulates placing the listener anywhere within the simulated room allowing the reverb to "sit" in the mix without cluttering it up.
  • Diffusion alters the character of your space – from the sharp reflections of flat, hard surfaces (Low) to the diffused reflections from rough, irregular ones (High).
  • EQ Block with HIGH and LOW gain and frequency controls.
