Sound Mechanics Sound Design releases '1983' for Arturia DX7 V

Sound Mechanics Sound Design has announced the release of 1983, a new sound bank for Arturia's DX7 V.

1983 includes 88 patches for DX7 V, an emulation of Yamaha's DX7 digital synthesiser built in 1983 - one of the biggest selling synthesizers of all time and notoriously one of the most difficult to program.

Sound Mechanics Sound Design says:

Arturia have made the job of programming much easier with a visually accessible interface so that six operators, envelopes and additional parameters with new effects can easily be edited.

Smooth pads, glassy keys, bouncing arps and some of those unusual DX type digital sounds make up an eclectic sound bank taking FM synthesis to newly discovered places.
