Urs Heckmann (u-he) has announced the release of Howard Scarr's Zebra Science bank of patches for Zebra2, plus imminent RTAS support for Zebra2 and a forthcoming new FX version of Zebra2.

Howard Scarr's Zebra Science ($42 (+19% VAT if ordered in the EU)
Howard Scarr's latest Zebra Science sound set is chock full of weird and wonderful (but eminently playable) instruments, plus a bunch of fine analog emulations - string machines, warm pads, classic leads and basses. Several of these patches make use of the X/Y pads for an unlimited supply of variations.

As well as the 242 sounds, Zebra Science also includes 48 oscillator templates and 35 envelope (MSEG) templates, plus a few tips and tricks to help you make the most of Zebra2.

RTAS Support
Zebra2 for RTAS (Pro Tools) will go beta in a few days - anybody who's interested in testing should sign up and join the "Pro Tools Users" group.

Zebra Update
Urs will be adding "Zebrafy" or "Zebrify" (which one sounds better?) to Zebra. This will be an effect plugin that allows for audio input. It's basically going to be a monophonic version of Zebra2 with all Synthesis & FX in a single Grid control. No estimates yet, but it looks good for a Q2/2008 release. Free update, as always.

Zebra2 Beta
Lastly, a beta version of Zebra2 that supports GUI resize and MIDI Program Changes is available in u-he's KVR forum.
