Colours: Orchestrator

ProjectSAM's Orchestrator is an inspirational tool for creating realistic and evocative legato transitions for orchestrated chords. Create rich symphonic layers with minimal effort using the plugin's library of orchestral ensemble sounds sampled with strings and choir, and wind and brass combinations.

With a simple and intuitive functionality, Orchestrator makes creating authentic legato phrases straightforward. Simply moving between single notes on the keyboard and Orchestrator will produce a smooth, lush transition between the different chords. The Mod Wheel can be used to add dynamic movement to legato chords and you can also move between three different microphones sets to change the perspective of the orchestra.

The finer details of the legato transition can be configured using Orchestrator's mapping and legato controls. Adjust fade-in length and gain of transition, pre- and post-legato notes using clear, intuitive sliders to exercise precise control over their sound. Movement between major and minor modes is seamless, with controllable sliders for each group. To facilitate this, all major and minor chords were recorded along with all possible transitions between them.

Additionally, the library contains a collection of legato double basses, plus bonus tremolo chords, flageolet sustains and staccato that can be accessed as individual instruments, or as part of Orchestrator's collection of multi instruments.
