DCAM BusComp is based on a classic bus compressor design from the centre section of a well-known British large-format mixing console. It is usually intended to be inserted on subgroups like drum mixes or the entire master output in order to make individual tracks sit together for a more cohesive mix, adding punch while still sounding smooth and natural.
As well as a realistic circuit-modelled compression engine, DCAM BusComp also features the ability to use an external sidechain, a built-in saturation circuit and a wet/dry control for parallel compression applications. It also includes a CV output which allows you to modulate other Reason devices with the gain reduction envelope.
