T-Compressor

The sound of this compressor is great. It has 4 fundamental modes in which you can run it (my personal favorite is the "Crispy" mode, it brings shine to the source in an instant).

I also really like the feature that you can put 3 instances of the actual compressor plugin in serial, means you can even create your own costumized chains consisting of different compressor modes, which is awesome.

Big shoutout for the VST2 compatibility, the auto-gain and the Dry/Wet parameter.

But there also are some disadvantages.

1. NO GLOBAL CONTROLS - Depite the amazing fact to chain up to 3 compressor instances inside of the plugin itself, you don't have any global controls to control all of them at once.

For example, I can dry/wet each individual compressor (which is super) but at the other hand, I can't smooth out the whole chain because there isn't a global Dry/Wet parameter provided.

Also I am missing a global BYPASS to compare the output with the input signal properly. At the moment, I only can bypass single compressor instances. And if I need to use a lot of A/B comparison, this will cost a decent amount of time.

2. Input/Output Fader has no meter - In some cases it can be useful to have a meter for the input and/or output signal right in the plugin. This also would give better help for using the THRESHOLD parameter.

3. Switching of the instance's position is not possible. - This could be a nice feature for an updated version. If you use all of the 3 instances for example, one cannot switch compressor 3 with 1 or compressor 1 with 2. That could really change the sound a lot.

4. Manual is not directly accesible from inside of the plugin. - A rather nit-picky one but worth to mention nonetheless. The manual lies in the downloaded installer files, but can't be accessed anyhow from inside of the plugin. Of course, the number of parameters T-Compressor has is fairly no so much, but it could give some help understanding the plugin for the ones who come new into it.

In short: A good tool but 4/5 stars because there is still place to go upwards.

Again a compressor? Yes, another compressor, but what a compressor! Despite the minimal settings,
this one has an excellent influence on the signal.

You can choose between:
"fully transparent or three other sound colors including "Clean", "Crispy", "Warm" and "Thick".
Clean: The compressor sounds fully transparent when the "Clean" mode is selected.
Crispy: This mode adds more brightness and a unique color to the sound.
Warm: It adds warmth and an analog vibe to the sound when selected.
Thick: This mode helps make the sound more open and three-dimensional, as well as bringing dull sounds to life."

I also like the design and the GUI very much. Keep it up.

T-Compressor is one of my fav all time compressors. I've use it all the time and it is now in every mix I do. It'll fix and glue mixes that are problematic like no other. It is one of the best compressors ever to shape FX chains. I always use the three bands in one instance dividing it between crispy, warm and thick. The weighting of the different textures is almost better than EQ. You can literally tone shape an entire mix after you gave it your best shot with all your other tools in a way that puts a smile on your face every single time. It is a keeper... quite frankly I'd pay way more for this gem. It belongs in your tool box, you absolutely can not go wrong... Get IT !!.

From the very first time I used the T-Compressor on a project, I knew that it is a special sounding compressor, not one more on the list (And my plugin list is large lol). I loved the way it allows me to create new textures by mixing the differents compression modes in serial or in parallel. For example: You can add some energy to your Mix Bus compressing about 3% in clean mode, and then compressing 3% in warmth mode. Finally you only have to adjust the threshold and to get about 1 o 2 dB of total GR.

I love this new compressor. It is great to have more then one compressor in just one plugin and mix different flavours to get the sound that you want. Its versatility allows you to use it on any sound source and most of all sounds great.

After using this compressor for a week in various types of projects I can assure you that it is an excellent compressor, it gives you the option of having a transparent sound, or if you prefer a colored sound, you also do not need to insert several compressors, you can have a chain of compressors in a single plugin. The interface is very friendly easy to use. Excellent plugin, I recommend it 100%!.

It's a fact that many of you will overlook this plug-in. It's just the nature of the beast: we've got too many tools, too many newsletters, to many special offers, each week, to keep some mental sanity.

This compressor has a very quality envelope movement and behavior that speak high-quality to me. If you've tried enough compressors and emulations, you probably got saturated by many dynamic processors that do a lot in a reckless way. Keeping transients under control and making the soundstage sound expensive and detailed, separating what the threshold gets and what it rejects, is not easy.

I think T-Compressor excels as transient management and it's very different from other plug-ins. Some of its areas are very simple (fast/slow envelopes to say the least, no in-between) but it's the interaction between the the threshold and the compression knob that can make a snare sit, a vocal feel highlighted or a guitar bus float in the stereo field to support the singer and feel massive at the same time.

Give it a try and you won't be disappointed.

Really digging this compressor plug-in. If you want some seriously versatile and tonally rich serial compression, this is a great choice. It's user friendly and very easy to get into. Highly recommend.
