4 Mic Perspectives.

Just like all developers, there's an Overhead perspective... but this time in Ambisonics - meaning you have a three-dimensional sound field of how the sound surrounds you.

Inside? Yes, we put another Ambisonics microphone INSIDE the tongue drum, the idea was to offer you a never-before-heard perspective of this instrument, where you will feel the sound coming from every corner of your room.

Macro! Yup... what about getting an extremely sensitive microphone and placing it as close as possible from where the sound generates?

Finally, we created a balanced MIX for those who want to simply load and play.

28 Articulations.

Are you ready for some juice?

Not only did we record the Tongue Drum with the traditional core Articulations (Mallet, Mallet Muted, Fingers, Fingers Muted, Finger tips), but we made a 13-articulation Prepared set, containing weird stuff like playing it with a wrench, bowing it, playing it with a pen, etc.

Finally, we also created 10 Sound Design articulations from the source sound, in native Ambisonics, to make sure they will fit your music should you follow the path of Spatial Audio, Immersive Music, Atmos Mixes, or other surround concepts.

6 Octaves, no Pitch Artifacts

That's right! Although a Tongue Drum has a few notes (around 10), we developed a technique we like to call "Sample Deconstruction", which helped us stretch the range of the instrument throughout 6 octaves without those silly pitch artifacts you hear on the transients when instruments get pitch-shifted extremely.

This means you can play Tangent Drum all through MIDI Controller and it will simply sound great.

Additionally, because a Tongue Drum resonates in a specific Key, we also were able to assemble patches in multiple Keys (C, D, E, F, G, A, B), this means that no matter what Key your music is on, Tangent Drum will be consonant with it.

And remember, Tangent Drum comes both in Stereo and Ambisonics, meaning that it is natively compatible with ANY speaker array configuration.
