How is it that this is free? The site has a sale on but not free.

Bought it years ago for a small fee.

But any time I install and use one of theire plugins it crashes every host I used for it.............so.

Did you register it with iLok?

is that a free software because i am a djmixer

EsiGui: Try the user group on the website. Support does reply to posts there. The SONiVOX installer can be very unforgiving. If you don't take your time and get it right on the first pass, you may have to go through your system's uninstall procedures, reboot and get a completely-clean fresh start.

classic: Do you have 2.0? I understand there have been updates for Apple OS.

raagtune: It maybe bundled with hardware but I don't recall ever seeing offered for free. I wouldn't pay full price for it because it regularly goes on sale ($20 or less).

Regarding the synth itself, it's a quality piece of work. Don't let the somewhat Spartan, "big-knob" interface fool you. It gets amazing, evolving sounds because it's dual-layer and it has a multi-parameter pattern generator that is more sophisticated than what you usually encounter. Patches, patterns, and MIDI-learn settings can be collectively or separately saved or recalled. It shares common operational features with Wobble, another SONiVOX synth. GROOVE3 has good cross-fertilizing tutorials on both Twist and Wobble.
