Virtual Audio Cable (VAC) links audio applications to each other with simulated (virtual) audio devices called "Virtual Cables". Any audio application can be configured to play a sound to Virtual Cable's playback endpoint, and any audio application (even the same one) can be configured to record this sound from Virtual Cable's recording endpoint.
Using Virtual Cable endpoints in audio applications, you can transfer (route) sounds between them, mix these sounds together, distribute a sound among several applications, create audio application chains etc.
VAC driver complies WDM standards and creates standard Kernel Streaming audio filters and pins. With ASIO-to-KS bridge like ASIO4ALL or ASIO2KS, you can use Virtual Cables in any ASIO host like a DAW.
