Lovely library of Roland's most classic instruments. Not sure about the low rated reviews beneath me but I wasn't building out my studio around RCM. Reactivation is only needed about once every 3 months. The US is a 3rd rate Internet shop and I always have a connection.

The VSTs load quickly and have never given me any issues with bugs or lockups. Very easy on the CPU.

The Play4Life program has given me lifetime licenses for 4 synths now and I know I've got 2 more coming this year. The sample packs are extremely useful and often have MIDI available, giving you a chance to really get flexible with sounds and timing.

Would be worth it for the Zenology Synth & FX alone, but if you need some classic Roland in your life, it's a great way to go.

Windows 11/Reaper/Mixcraft 9.

This is what a software drum sampler should look like, and it is excellent using factory kits. However, when you start to go off on your own, things can get confusing and buggy very quickly. There are no industry standard template maps and having to map buttons constantly can kill my creative workflow in no time flat. I struggle to find the time to sit down and create them myself.

But if you can afford to take the time to make it your own, it's a more than capable machine. I recommend getting it with some version of Komplete, and getting the value of Kontakt and maybe Massive along with it. Then like me, if you find yourself not using it much, the value in Kontakt and Massive will more than make up for it.
