Bottle Pop

I'm a sucker for plugins that specialize in one sound or just a few sounds, so of course I had to check out Bottle Pop. I don't think the blowing noise really sounds much like blowing into a bottle, but it is actually a really cool and usable sound. I think it actually sounds quite lovely, especially when you turn the reverb up, or use your DAW's reverb. The other sounds I guess are supposed to be the tapping on a bottle. These are useful as well.

I give it a solid 4 for the quirky GUI and for the nice blowing sound.

I like this synth a lot. The presets are awesome. Just dial one up and there you go. Yesterday I started a cover of Section23's "Looking From a Hilltop" and I came really close to the bass sound used in that track just by using a preset. Which is just as well because...
...in the latest version of FL Studio some of the knobs don't seem to work, particulary the osc knobs 1-3. I haven't tried it in Orion Pro. One could see how programming could be difficult so it's a good thing the presets are good. I'm not much of a programmer anyways. so besides that hiccup, download this for all your synth-bass needs.

This simple little plug in can really be a workhorse if you allow it. when I'm just starting a track I will usually start with this. It's just so easy to work with. The sound can be very limiting so you have to know when and where to use it. It's good for basses and leads of course, but use it with effects or layer it with a more substanicial vst and there is when you see it's value. The filter, as with all Muon products is very nice. The sound really cuts through in the mix, which is why it's good for layering. It's very stable and the cpu usage is the lowest I've seen. Like I said, it's always in my rack.
