I am not really good at creating stunning rythms from scratch with drum kits or drum samples. This tool over the years has been the rythmic brain in my studio. Of course having complete rythmic patterns in several flavours and variations will result in the need of new additional material in REX2 format from time to time to not repeat the same ideas. But there are still a lot of companies offering this format.

They don't have the same quality - on many pattern +/- 40 BPM is no problem, others the range may be more limited until you notice stretching.

Stylus is easy to use. By drag and drop you put modern drum patterns layer by layer together until you end up in a total mess, You start anew, remove something here or there and suddenly on the way (you never know exactly how) you end up with a hooking rythm, a groove you can't keep your feet still - then save immediatly the whole "multi" for further development.

A few days ago I had a problem with the SAGE Converter. Wrote a mail and got answer two hours later that solved my issue.

It may not be the only drum module you'll ever need - but it's the module that always will give you an idea.

Still sold at the initial price nowadays it seems too expensive. Even if regarding drums & rythm there weren't game changers or break through innovations since if I'm right.

Still I'd recommend to wait for a good deal.

High sound quality - al little bit scientific, not self explanatory. While all guitars from Ample Sounds have a similar concept and you will get familiar with the interface with time for quite some time it felt not like a musical instrument but more like a computer's software. Like in those times you had to feed computers with a punch card first you can't simply play the notes but have to do some extra operations to make those notes sound well. To me personally, I found it hard to play and always needed a lot of editing later on the midi. But getting the "punch card part" right you can get a very realistic sound from it. Sometimes a bunch of sampled loops may be the better solution instead of tweaking a VST instrument a whole day to make it sound right. Or, even better, you spent the time learning to play the guitar yourself or even much more better, you save time and have a good friend playing yer guitar well. So - no matter how much science this is - it is already the best of all possible solutions if it is the one you have available (see: Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz who probably can explain better what I mean).

The channel strips are brillant - the deesser and the reverb ... well, wasn't able to make something meaningfull with them. Imo the pack could be smaller, the plugins look very nice, on high resolution monitors a bit small, still quite a few of them are of high utility (compressor, eq) but others are too palish to make it a complete "starter kit" or something similar. Hope there will be a VST3 version.

Warm and energetic - sound reminds me of the old Kjaerhus EQ. Wouldn't use it on the master, maybe sounds a little bit blurry there, but on the bus - if you know what you want - it can be a versatile workhorse making parts richer, fuller. Not the only EQ you will need but the "special one" you will be glad to have it.

Brillant algorithms - hope developer can make some money by selling them to companies. Best free verb I know. The GUI ist straight forward, nothing sophisticated but everything you need - from left to right - is there. From the outside it looks like a good reverb plugin should look. Even in different flavours. And the inside - wow. Sounds naturally, not too cold not "too analog" - it could be a reference sound, suitable for most home studios. Especially bread and butter rooms (don't ask what this means - I don't know either) for drums and vocals you can realize in a very convincing way with this little freebie genie. It's the Lionel Messi amongst the reverbs - for every tight situation there seems a stroke of genious to resolve it.

Easy to use and trustworthy - you get the results you're aiming for. Flexible GUI but not kittenish, takes ten minutes and you feel this EQ has always been with you. Accurate sound and handling. All knobs, buttons and points react precicesly to your mouse action. No fiddling around. To operate this is a good deed, something to enjoy. User friendly activation process, no permanent online or third party software or other pest needed. For a fair price even with support and free updates to newer versions. No doubt - ToneBoosters deserves a fair play trophy.
