Bucket ONE

Hello everyone,

as a beta tester of the synthesizer, Björn once again overtook me when it was released :P
That's why I'm only now coming to my evaluation of the synthesizer.

The user interface has been lovingly recreated, sensibly expanded with the EDIT section programmed by Björn.
Otherwise I like the expansion from 6 to 64 votes, very good.

Programming the sounds is quick and easy. If you want to create some yourself, you can quickly find your way around the edit section. The sounds are very sonorous, assertive and sound great! I can create all sounds with it, from bass sounds to drums, FX to pads. The only thing I miss on the synthesizer is a delay to make the sound wider. But: everyone should have something of that in their DAW.
If you are sadistic ^-^ you can also use the original 80s interface :).

Tip: if a request comes up after a change, in which a change is pointed out: simply press the Park/Write button in order not to lose the changes.

For many lovers of old simulations, it is certainly crucial how close the sound comes to the hardware. I cannot and do not want to judge that: I take the BucketOne as it is.

As with all Björn synthesizers, I always look forward to the CPU load :) Result: low CPU load, no spikes, no surprises, perfect.

My conclusion: I really appreciate the detailed work of Björn / Fullbucket and I'm happy to welcome another "full bucket" in my DAW. 5 Stars.

P.S: If you want to hear more about the tonal possibilities of the synthesizer go to

I make the presets for this track available to Björn exclusively under "23 for BucketOne", which can be found soon at

FB-7999

Hello everyone in the world, .

after accompanying the beta test of the FB7999, I actually wanted to quickly make an evaluation for it. But sometimes things turn out differently. That's why the review comes from me now.

Why do I give the synthesizer 5 stars?

1. The user interface
Björn has the great ability to adapt the operation of the emulations to the existing hardware operation. That is also the case here. I find my way around very quickly and can create sounds for myself in no time.

The only downer is the lack of a sequencer, but hey: that would be complaining at a high level for me because everyone can create sequences in their DAW with ease if they want: P.

A tip for the DW-6000 / DW-8000 hardware owners: the values do NOT have to be changed with the parameter controller;).

2. Haptic
Haptic in software synthesizers? Oh yes, for me the decisive factor with Haptic is whether all parameters are clearly structured, whether I can reach them quickly with my controllers and thus work well in my flow without any misalignments.
This works excellently here because all parameters can be found on one page.

3. Sound
For many DW-6000 / DW-8000 enthusiasts, it is certainly crucial how close the sound comes to the hardware. And I feel the sounds are super close compared to my test samples (I don't have the hardware).

For me it is more important: how does the synth sound? Is it assertive and can I use it to create all sounds, from bass sounds to drums, FX to pads?

For me everything is very suitable: both synthesizers work extremely well, from PADs to bass sounds to crazy sounds from me;) The only drawback for me: the drum sounds are a bit more difficult to create. Here's a tip: just add a compressor to the mixer channel and set the gain to +3 DB (or so).

The 16 waveforms are great for sound tinkering. And the tweak with the pseudo-stereo improves the sound considerably.

4. CPU load
As with all Björn synthesizers, I'm always pleasantly surprised: the CPU load on my computer is totally negligible, downright ridiculous. No spikes, no surprise when calling up unison mode with all 64 voices. Perfect.

5. Extras
I know Björn and love the intelligent, well thought-out extensions that he also donates as "extras". It's the same here again: SYSEX importer / exporter, the DW-6000/8000 waveforms, the pseudo-stereo tweak, the extended waveforms of the DW-6000 ...

Conclusion:
Where do you get 2 Emulations in One? Yes, by Fullbucket :).

As a beta tester, I appreciate the meticulous work done by Björn / Fullbucket. Personally, I'm always fascinated by Björn's great synthesizers, which he shares with everyone for free. I have enormous respect for his projects in his free time.

If you want to hear more of the sonic possibilities of the synthesizer, listen to my demo track on Soundcloud:
https://soundcloud.com/kraftraum/kraftraum-trifft-fullbucket-roboterwerk-fb7999.

I created all the presets from scratch with the synth, with the only exception: the vocoder voices. The presets for this track, as well as other bonus presets, are available exclusively by Björn at
https://www.fullbucket.de/music/fb7999.html.

You can find more presets right here under the downloads (which I provide today).

Thank you Björn.

Fury-800

Reviewed By kraftraum [all]

Version reviewed: All on Windows

Hello everybody, .

then I want to write why the Furry800 gets 5 out of 5 stars from me:

1. GUI
Björn has lovingly implemented and expanded the GUI of the POLY800. Perfect for me.

2. Haptics
When I speak of haptics, I mean the operability of the synth via mouse / keyboard / midi. And then I can only say: it fits something like this:
- also created some intermediate stages, especially for the 16 ', 8', 4 'and 2' harmonics,
- the setting "Show All Parameters" shows all parameters as sliders and
- the settings are not as fiddly small as with other VSTis
- I got along with all parameters IMMEDIATELY.

3. Sound
What should I say? The sound is full, almost identical to a Poly 800 in Poly 800 mode.
And the Fury800 mode is an ingenious extension for me: where do you get 2 for a synth :)?

4. CPU load
I'm pretty careful what my VSTs do with the CPU. In the past I have always been very pleasantly surprised by all the synthesizers Björn has created.
And it's no different here: the CPU load is totally negligible on modern computers, downright ridiculous with the sound.

5. Extras
I know Björn and love the intelligent, well thought-out extensions that he also donates as "extras". That is also the case here as would be there
- Voice Mod, God.Mod, SYSEX-Loader, Chorus Rate ....

Unfortunately I can only partially understand the arguments of BONES:
- yes, the POLY800 didn't sound as great as other synths, but: it was affordable. And the FURY800 mode is not the POLY800 mode for the real POLY800 sound.
- the parameters can be reached via the setting "Show All Parameters" since the first beta, a great feature ... and: the controls can be moved wonderfully with the mouse wheel :)
- I think it is very positive to have GUI scaling at all.

As a beta tester, I appreciate the painstaking, detailed work of Björn / Fullbucket. Personally, I think you shouldn't lose sight of the fact that it's a free synth made in your spare time.

If you would like to hear more of the mix between the FURY800 / POLY800 mode: my patches are available and my piece of music is available under.

show how the synth sounds :).

Thanks Björn.

Tricent mk III

To start with: fantastic! Björn has created a great synth again, excellent.

The synth
- simulates the Korg Trident MK III with all players and other extras that have been recorded by Björn.
- the operation is intuitive,
- the filters are ... super fast :)
- In terms of sound, the synth is great, very clean sounds that can be created with
- CPU hunger is minimal, just too ridiculous ... Hats off to great programming.

What actually started with a demo track to test the new synth for a few sounds has now become a full piece of music that you can listen on my Sondcloud page to start what you can do with the synth:

https://soundcloud.com/kraftraum/kraftraum-solar-orbiter-meets-tricent-mk-iii

From me: one of my Top 5 synth, and also a big thanks to Björn.
