Dangerous Bear Underground has announced Apokrypha 2, the update and sequel to its Kontakt library Apokrypha.
Apokrypha 2 is an SFZ Universal library, meaning that its native sample format is sfz+wav, with presets for the diverse instruments which load sfz, such as Alchemy, Kontakt, WusikEngine synths(version 5.6.2 or higher) and Dimension.
Apokrypha 2 includes all of the content of the original, but triples the volume of sample data to three gigabytes. The core library includes the Tom Gersic Prepared Piano library, DBU's salute to the old-school samplers CryptoTronix, the time stretching experimental set TemporalSonix, and a collection of sounds taken from life, Environments. The new content includes a major expansion of the Miscelenea atmospheric synth textures set, Environments 2, a selection of voice-derived sounds from DBU's Vox Humana project, and the return of Johan Rucker's Dangerous Grooves loop library, made available here in wav and rex for use directly in your host, Kontakt's beat machine, and the powerful processing and mangling potential of Alchemy.
