Deskew Technologies updates Gig Performer to v4.1

Deskew Technologies has updated Gig Performer, its flagship cross-platform plugin host for performing musicians, to version 4.1. The new version adds support for importing PDF files, includes some workflow and usability enhancements, numerous new GP Script functions and, of course, some bug fixes.

Changes:

• PDF Import: Gig Performer now includes a tool that imports your PDF files and creates the appropriate ChordPro directives to display them.
• Automatic Open/Close for Plugin Editors: Gig Performer can remember which plugin editors are open in each rackspace and will automatically open or close them as you switch from one rackspace to another.
• Automatic Widget Mapping: You can paste widgets in the global rackspace to local rackspaces and the pasted widgets will be automatically mapped to their corresponding global widgets for immediate control.
• System Action Additions: The System Actions plugin now supports remote scrolling of ChordPro, remote selection of song parts or variations.
• MIDI File Player Sync: The MIDI File Player now supports syncing play/stop with the global playhead.
• GP Script: The proprietary easy-to-use scripting language includes several new functions for controlling ChordPro, manipulating setlists, show/hide the Global Rackspace and remapping widgets to different plugin/parameters on the fly.
• External API: Gig Performer's external API now supports.

Gig Performer 4 comes bundled with a sampler of synth plugins from LostIn70s and effects plugins from Overloud, along with related templates, to get musicians up and running from the moment they launch the application for either performance or trial evaluation. Of course, users will want to bring their favorite plugins into Gig Performer but having this convenience right out of the gate helps them immediately appreciate both the functionality and power of Gig Performer.
