Imperfect Samples releases Braunschweig Upright Piano (Pro) Library for EXS24 and Kontakt
Imperfect Samples has announced the release of the Braunschweig Upright Piano (Pro), a 24 bit multi-sampled imperfect upright piano instrument for Kontakt and EXS24.
Being the second instrument created by Imperfect Samples, this release continues the company's goal of building imperfect and realistic performance instruments. This instrument is a massive upgrade for the original Schimmel Braunschweig Upright Piano, adding an additional instrument with new microphone perspective, an additional 6 layers to the original instrument, and over 3 times the amount of data. Totaling over 15GB of data, the Braunschweig Upright (Pro) is the first multi-perspective upright piano available on the commercial market, and now the largest single upright piano library in the world, according to Imperfect Samples.
One of the major benefits of Imperfect Samples' Braunschweig Upright Piano (Pro) is its additional microphone perspective. Microphone perspective 1 has been recorded 2 inches from the soundboard, for an extremely dynamic, larger-than-life sound. Perspective 2 has been recorded closer to the hammers, for a percussive, soft sound. These two microphone perspectives provide very different sounds, and add a versatility not before seen in upright piano sample libraries.
The Braunschweig Upright Piano (Pro) is available as a stand-alone purchase for £89. An upgrade path is also available for Braunschweig Upright Piano (standard) users (£49.99).
Instruments included in the sample library:
- Braunschweig Upright: (3, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14 velocity layer upright pianos with perspective 1).
- Braunschweig Upright: P2: (3, 6, 8, 10, and 11 velocity layer upright pianos with perspective 2).
- Schimmel Fantasy Piano: (low-velocity dark samples only).
- Schimmel Piano fx: (piano performance effects, pedal sounds, wood knocking, lid open and close, direct string glissandos).
- Schimmel Space Piano: (Bonus Instrument with gliding piano sounds).
