RJ Studios releases True MidSide v1.3.0 - Stereo separation plugin with new Ring Suppression option
RJ Studios has updated their True Mid/Side, Mid<>Side Channel Extractor to version 1.3.0 with additional improvements including a new Ring Suppression option. They say:
The new Ring Suppression feature greatly reduces (typically eliminates) the pre-ringing and post-ringing artifacts of the channel separation processing which is especially noticeable on clips and samples that rapidly rise from and/or fall back to silence. An example of this is shown below.
The new Ring Suppression option defaults to normally ON however can be turned off for legacy sound and a slight reduction in CPU load. Ring Suppression is most effective on percussive material that rises and falls rapidly to/from low levels - it is not necessary or beneficial to audio material that fades in/out gradually (such as vocal tracks) and can be turned off in those cases to reduce CPU load.
This update also improves upon the main separation algorithm and fixes compatibility issues reported in some DAWs.
Price: $39.95 at the RJ Studios webstore and KVR Marketplace while the update is free for all current owners. Free 14-day trial demos are available for download at RJ Studio's website.
