UK based synthesiser manufacturer, WS Audio Limited, today announced the European release of its début product Trueno, a 3 oscillator analogue synth with a footprint smaller than a credit card.
Trueno (from the Spanish for thunder) is USB powered and is, say WS Audio, the first of its kind. It is controlled through a VST/AU plugin and uses a built-in 24-bit ADC to output the audio directly from the plugin.
Will Shaw, Trueno's designer explains: "It works just like any other plugin, it's a really quick and easy way for musicians to get authentic analogue sounds into their music."
Trueno's other features include a digital additive mode with 256 waveforms; AM, PWM and filter FM; 6 envelope generators and 4 LFOs as well as digital flanger, phasor, chorus, delay and reverb effects.
Trueno will be available in Europe in early December 2017 from Amazon (UK, FR, ES, DE and IT) and will retail for £139.99 / €159.99.
