The Emissary is a digital emulation of a custom dual channel guitar tube amplifier. It has been developed to accurately model its real hardware counterpart, built for Ryan Huthnance (The Seer / Gaped / Chrome Bison / Emissary Studios) by Ignite Amps, in 2014.
The Emissary is a no compromise custom amp built for the kill. Featuring a very versatile clean channel that ranges from pristine cleans to slightly overdriven tones and a mean lead channel designed for serious bone-crushing distortions, it offers a very wide tonal palette for the modern metal musician.
Every single component on the signal path of the real analog circuit has been taken into account and modeled in the best possible way to match the original sound, keeping an eye on CPU performance and real-time playability at the same time.
The plug-in GUI has been 3D modeled and rendered by Voger Design, in order to resemble the real amplifier as much as possible.
The Emissary is meant to be used as a virtual guitar amplifier for live playing and jamming, tracking or mixing inside hosts capable of AAX, AU VST or VST3 Plug-Ins support.

not only one of the best free amp sims, but possibly one of the best amp sims, period. You can get a ton of killer tones.
Read ReviewI find it unbelievable that in 2018 this is still one of the best amp simulators. I have so many issues with the artificial high tones of the other sims that I mostly use the Emissary with some good Demon/V30 IRs. I use a standard TS boost and I set the lead gain on Emissary between 2-3.

Hey yall, it's 2023. Anyone around? 9 years since the last post.
Here's another one with Emissary Amp :)
fucking killer amp, love it.
i love the sound im getting but i do have a problem, im using a cabinet i bought from torpedo wall of sound III & getting a glitch, really pissing me off.
is because this was a trial & i need to pay you for the amp or what?
@Axehead666, the amp is totally free - so you should have no problems with it. Try using other free cab impulses, like the God's Cab Pack (its a really good collection). I used theirs on this test clip here:

Hope this helps.
problem solved, nothing to do with the amp..
thanks for a great amp & thanks to Darrell Firth of Requiem of the Damned for hooking me up.. \m/.
AMAZING amp simulation, amazing. Mid-range pick attack is so on point, checkout this test clip I made the other day to see what I'm talking about.

Its my go-to amp from now on; its way too good.
One of the best amp sims out right now. So good that you don't really believe it's free.
