It is great, but for some reason it often has touble with the host and makes it crash or glitch. (Such as FL studio, Equalizer APO, etc).

Very useful when using a DAW that does not contain multiple effects development. Although it does not bring all the existing effects, it brings what is essential to produce.

Good interface design. But the CPU usage is higher compared to kilohearts.I hope it can be improved.

The channel strips are brillant - the deesser and the reverb ... well, wasn't able to make something meaningfull with them. Imo the pack could be smaller, the plugins look very nice, on high resolution monitors a bit small, still quite a few of them are of high utility (compressor, eq) but others are too palish to make it a complete "starter kit" or something similar. Hope there will be a VST3 version.

A no brainer. All fx you will ever need in one pack. And it is a great pack because these plugins a very well designed, they sound good and have a very straight, nice looking GUI. And you can load tons of them in your DAW without stressing your CPU. Dead Duck - one of the best plugin developers out there.

It's amazing! Overdrive so similar to Logic drive stock plugin. EQ curve really smooth. Simple to use. Good quality. Minimalistic design. Approved. Many years in my go to folder. In some cases this plugins can be better that daw stock plugins! Absolutely! Thank you so much.

Excellent set of basic audio effects, and for free! I didn't use and test all plugins, but think that anyone who works with audio/music production should have this installed.
Pros:
- Has every basic effect plugin that one could expect;
- Simple but beautiful UIs, with an uniform design between all plugins;
- Simply works as expected.
Cons (IMHO, and suggestions for developer):
- Could have textboxes under knobs so we could see their values and change them by typing;
- The meters could have a peak indicator;
- All plugins should have input and output gain knobs;
- Doesn't come with preloaded presets;
- No VST3, only VST2.

I've been using these instead of the stock plugins in Studio One for about a week with really good results. Its so easy to dial something in with the channel strips. Thank you for your effort. Would also be great if the gate on the channel strip could be toggled to become an expander.

How do I download this?

Here, you can download from KVR, as Dead Duck Blog dissappeared.
The last downloadable is this, but of course it is updated once a bug appears.
Swatwork is the admin (and maybe DeadDuck coder...)

nice suit! thanks very much.
Awesome! We need a few more now! Thanks! :)
This is amazing. That reverb is really impressive considering there are only seven parameters. In my opinion, it's a pretty solid free alternative to big expensive reverbs like Fabfilter's Pro-R. Very impressed.
Great plugins! When I put "utility", the volume of the right channel is lowered.
The equalizer sounds great, it would be nice if the knobs have different colors per band, and an output knob.
I have tested effects in my Tracktion 5 (64-bit), but DAW stopped working (.
Thanks for reporting this. The Tracktion T5/T6 crashing issues have been fixed in update 1.0.1.
meen u'r awesomeee tnxx broooo.
Sonar (64-bit) hangs while trying to auto detect the 64-bit versions, but the 32-bit are knocking my socks off, and run under both Sonar x64 and x86, with or without jBridge. I managed to trick Sonar into loading the 64-bit dlls, but as soon as you close a project, they hang again. Other than that, these plugins rival anything I've ever paid for.
Thanks for reporting this. The SONAR crashing issues have been fixed in update 1.0.2.
In that case Swatwork, you have just effectively REPLACED all of my waves plugins.
Sonar weirdness appears to have resurfaced with the latest bandlab release, DD Channel (but not Channel 2) appears to Sonar as both a 32 and 64-bit plugin from the single .dll, and when sonar enumerates the 32-bit version it gets a 'Stop Effect' error and complains. The plugin scan *will* end eventually, but at that point sonar will crash if you try to do anything.
If you then reopen sonar and try to use the 'DD Channel (32-bit)' plugin it brings up a dialog saying the plugin can't be located and do you want to disable it from the plugin lists.
It's a pretty minor thing, since the 64-bit version it finds from the same .dll works ok, but it'll probably confuse some people - it took me a while to be certain I didn't have an old 32-bit version lurking somewhere.
Can you make a change log? It would be very useful. :D.
awesome plugins! is there a twitter account I can follow? thanks.
To follow, there is no need to have Twitter or anything of that kind.
You just click on "I own this" at the top in the rightmost column of this preset page, and automatically you are subscribed to follow a product directly by notifications in your email address. Why reinvent the wheel or go in other places to find a service... that you already have here?

Never heard the expression "google is your friend"?
how about you go f..k yourself first and then try that google thingy... and tell me how many dead duck you find on twitter LOL.
I just want to say great-great thank you to the developer, the plugins are amazing! I run a one-man music project and they had fit my mode of mixing at once. I passed to them as my main mixing bundle and the result was uplifting my sound to completely new level. If you want to hear the result: https://soundcloud.com/svargarataya/pinocchio
Though the compressor is digital and super CPU-friendly, it gives as punchy sound as analog-modeled plugins, which consume much more CPU. Impressive! This is really a big gift, which creates a lot of happiness inside when mixing. So thank you once again.
Also would be good to add possibility to type in numeric values directly in the future versions.
The design of interface is also very nice!
With respect.
Hi. I downloaded this bundle a week ago and I toyed with it a bit. I liked it enough to start using it in my projects, but unfortunately there are some issues and I had to stop using them. I am using Bitwig Studio (not 2.0). After a while, the projects in which I used these plugins would start giving audio artifacts. If I saved and reloaded the project, there would be no audio at all, and all external plugins (not only from DD) would fail to load. As I removed all the DD effects (literally from all the tracks, not only from the main channel), the project started functioning again.
I can't say where the problem was because Bitwig didn't give any error message. It's a pity because I was enjoying these plugins.
Hi Heron, and are you 100% sure that the issue is in the plugins and no elsewhere? What happens if you (make a copy of the project and) delete one by one these effects?
Hello Dead Duck Software, .
i produce with "Samplitude Pro X 3" i can load the Plugins, and work with them, but when i eject the plugin, the complete DAW crash, .
and close directly without warning "Plop...and close!" On every Plugin.
Don't understand, such thing will no happend on any other plugin..., what is it?
A Update to fix that where great...on this status for me it is imposible to work with.
QUESTION ON COMUNITY:
Any other out there who have "Magix Samplitude Pro X" with the same problem, or even without any problem, that were very interesting!!.
I wan't wirte a Email to "Dead Duck Software" but i can find anyone, that is the reason why i create a account on KVR! I wan't contact.
Dead Duck Software....!?
Than i test that Bundle as Version v1.0 came out, now we got v1.4.4 but the Problem stay and its the same.
Strange, i don't know, maybe it is my computer config...but i have with no other software a problem...mmh?
Thanks for reporting this. Updates 1.4.5 (Effects) and 1.3.4 (Instruments) include fixes to address crashing in Samplitude X3.
Oh wow, that is very nice!!.
I never had througth that a answer came so fast, Thank you very much!!.
And the New Vers. is Online too...cool, i must download and check it out.
The Channel Strip is a very rare Free Plugin, such a Channel Strip we won't get.
from any other Developer for free, only Dead Duck provite such a Channel Strip.
as a free Plugin.
Thank you very much!!.
Must go into my Studio in my Basement and test the Plugins, very cool Bundle, .
the Gui can be a little bit better, more 3D in the Gui were nice! But it is absolutly.
no matter, when they do a good job.
Sorry for my bad englisch... i'm learning to be better ;-)
Hey, man! I love your plugins - been using no other third party ones since I found them. Do you happen to know what a Q of 1 is in percentage on your equalizer? I thought about something between 20 and 30?! Thanks in advance, my friend.
Hi everyone, Dead Duck! Your plugins are amazing and have replaced my general plugins, especially the channel strip2 !!! Amazing!
The GUI is great, I fell in love !!! But something drives me crazy, I wonder if there is a possibility to put numbers on the knobs in order to show the adjustments ... whenever I go from one channel to another I do not immediately fill the settings I made and to know the exact frequency and gain I need to click the button, it turns things up a little.
My suggestion, please: DD Channel with numbers
Wow! Judging from the feedback I'm gonna DL this and give it a try. It's not everyday you come across a free plugin package that sounds awesome.
Thanks.
Hi Deefex, .
I think the reason why we all are so happy bout his plugins is this: (just my opinion)
These plugins do not try to emulate any of those vintage voodoo things. They are purely digital and they do what they are supposed to do, but they do that in a wonderful way. They sound cool. Even the GUI is refreshing unspectacular.

Hi when im playing a loop in sonar platinum, and i hit the sync button on the reverb pre delay, it crashes Sonar, , , , , , getting it with the delays as well, they wont crash if there is no signal running through the plug-in, only when there is a signal, bar nice plug-ins.
Hi, thanks for reporting this, I was able to reproduce this crash in Cakewalk. A fix has been included in release 1.5.1.
It would be nice to add the auto release in the compressor and in the channel strips and the filters (HPF/LPF) in the equalizer... ;-)
I don't know why but the sounds on old version 1.0 better than 1.5.3.
I wonder if this good free bundle will push other big names to release their own free bundles. Wouldn't that be an idea?
I just got done finished playing around with the HY-Plugins free bundle and they are super cool.
Any chance of a Mac release for these? The 2015 MDA plugs compilation did not include the JX10 for some reason. That's the one I'd really like to see as a Mac 64-bit VST.
Really great job on these.
Everyday I come here to see if a macOs release is released or announced... and everyday I leave this page crying and hoping to see it the day after, because I know that if I keep trying and trying ... maybe .... maybe.... one day.
Hi Swatwork, the strangest thing is happening with MonoDelay x64 - I can't extract it from the .zip file as it's being intercepted and quarantined by Windows Security as a severe threat: Trojan:WIn32/Azden.A!cl It doesn't happen with the 32-bit version or with any of the other 32 or 64-bit plugins. It's not a problem as I can use the 32-bit version but I thought I'd better let you know just in case the download on this page has been tampered with ...
All malware protection catalogs filenames of previous threats. In all likelihood, somebody somewhere at some time cataloged a threat with that same filename, but different file/package. I wouldn't sweat it.
I redid the channel strip 2 with numbers because I couldn't get used to it without them. Link below for anyone who's interested. Cheers to KIMCHRISTOPHER for the idea.

I wasn't expecting much. The UIs are ordinary yet remarkably sleek and unobtrusive. I particularly liked the keyboards. Good sound, good sound flexibility. The EQs are quite useful. Haven't tried the compressor/limiter yet. Overall, great plug-ins. Thanks Dead Duck.
Thank you for update!
You don't do chagelog?
The Effects Bundle has been updated to 1.5.8. This fixes a crash bug in Ableton Live 10 where Live would crash if a native effect was dragged across an open Dead Duck plugin GUI.
Just an amazing suite of plugins!!!
Can i request to make different colors per band on Eqauliser and the EQ on Channel? It's kinda hard to distinguish one parameter from the other when working fast.
And can i make a donation?
Thanks for the hard work!!.
Nice plugs! Good sound and for once, a clear UI.
I can't, however, see the level meters to working with Cakewalk (formerly Sonar) (Win10 Pro, 1903, 64-bit). It also seems that, when changing values, the value label only shows itself when releasing the mouse button and not "when turning the pot".
Anyway, thanks for these; I'm sure I'll find many uses for them.
-Pete.
Never mind my nagging about the UI. Tried again last night and all's working well now in Cakewalk, pot value display, meters and everything.
Must've been some hiccup in my DAW the other night, or something.
-Pete.
The Effects Bundle has been updated to 1.5.9. This includes a single change - new equaliser colors for improved usability.
I have a question to developer. Do you plan to remove frequency cramping near Nyquist in the DD Equaliser? I mean especially HF with added Gain.
Are these controllable by selectable MIDI CC? I want a tremolo to be controlled by mod wheel (live use.) Thanks.
Thanks.
The Dead Duck Effects have been updated to version 1.6. This update includes new layouts for the Equaliser and EQ sections of the channel strips, and a new preset management menu (click the Dead Duck logo) with options to load, save and initialise the current program. In addition the settings file name and location has changed (see the enclosed PDF for details).
I appreciate this update. It will be much easier to store presets in a dedicated format. Also new layout for equalizer is better. Previous one was confusing, especially on the channel strip.
The Dead Duck Effects have been updated to version 1.6.0.1. This fixes some minor formatting issues in the Channel plugins.
The Dead Duck Effects have been updated to version 1.6.0.2. This fixes a formatting issue in the Compressor and a preset recall bug in the DeEsser.
i really love these plugins! I have it in 98% of my mixes! but i have a problem, i need to find version 1.3.1 but i am not finding it, is there any place where i can find the old versions? I'm having compatibility problems loading sessions with old plugins.
The Dead Duck Effects have been updated to version 1.6.0.3. The plugin configuration settings can now be set from within the plugins; click the Dead Duck logo to access the plugin menu. See the notes included in the download package for more information.
I would like to make a request regarding DD Channel. It would be much more convenient to have HF and LF switchable from shelf to peak/bell.
Does anyone know what happened to original Dead Duck Software website on blogspot dot com?
It's dead as the proverbial duck as of August 2021. It's preserved by archive.org.
To spend countless hours developing multiple effects and instruments and then disappear without a single word. Confusing to say the least.
He just deleted his blog and KVR now hosts his updated plugins and you can download them on this page. He released a new synth only a couple of months ago.
I don't know where to report bugs, so I will report here. I'm trying to use these plugins in DaVinci Resolve, but the plugin window (any of them) appears very small, without any content.
Please. Would it be possible in a future update to have Gate and Expander base thresholds in the plugins lowered below -40dbfs? -80 would be preferable as the base threshold. If you are recording voice, targeting -18dbfs general peaks during capture, many decent rooms will have noise floors more in the -60dbfs area, with some somewhat better and some worse. -40dbfs is a bit too high to be useful in these scenarios. Thank you for your consideration, and your tremendous efforts with these plugins.
