Requiem Light Player Edition is a professional virtual choir library for Kontakt and the free Kontakt Player, designed specifically for trailer, soundtrack and "epic" symphonic scoring work. This hand-picked 40-member male/female choir was recorded in one of the oldest cathedrals in San Francisco with leading choir conductor, Robert Geary, of the SF Choral Society, Volti and Piedmont Children's Choir.

The library contains sustains and polyphonic true legato from piano to forte, covering 3 primary vowel sounds, as well as sustaining vowels (all major variants) with separate male/female sections and extended note ranges, staccato with 2X round-robin, new ultra forte sustaining marcatos with releases, a custom staccato phrase-builder, Latin chants ("poly-sustains") recorded at different speeds across the entire interval of choir with playable real-time 3-part polyphonic legato functionality, hundreds of choral effects including whispers, shouts, clusters, demonic chants, sweeps, consonants, claps, snaps and other effect types. With a unique bonus collection of choral ambiences, pads and custom FX presets, this library goes well beyond a traditional virtual choir. In the new 2.5 update, Kontakt 5 tempo-synching and legato crossfade blend control is now included on all Latin poly-sustains as well.

Originally recorded using multiple room position stereo microphone pairs, Requiem Light has been carefully mixed down and artfully mastered into a single well-balanced and truly optimized blend, providing quality, depth, power, tone and body, while remaining exceptionally light on system resources and delivering excellent ease-of-use. Requiem Light is intended for users who want a professional choir library at their fingertips, without the usual performance and workflow tradeoffs of the 3-mic position original. It delivers a huge and rich sound right out of the box, without any of the usual mixing hassles. It's designed to excel, whether dropped into the most resource intensive orchestral scoring templates or used from the road on a laptop.
