With a focus on bringing innovative sound mixing and mastering tools for both professionals and enthusiasts, oeksound is a young plug-in company based in Helsinki, Finland. It was founded in 2016 by Olli Erik Keskinen when he released oeksound's first plug-in, soothe. With so many companies around already chasing the perfect modelling for yet another 1176-emulation, oeksound is here to craft new tools for modern needs.

Entirely new and CPU-heavy number-crunching schemes are available to us – we can already run an email mailbox on a toaster, so why not run a complex signal processing algorithm on a laptop for audio production?

As a small and lean company, we are eager to pursue and push forward the technologies and solutions that sound engineers see as useful. So if you really need a fix to an age-old problem, pop us a message. We just might be able to find the solution.

When I first tried Spiff, I wasn't sure how it worked or what it could be used for. After checking out some YT videos and demoing it, it's become so useful to me that it's a staple in my toolbox. I use it mainly to suppress transient attacks. I like that it's multiband. Other transient designers I've auditioned go too far in muting transients and actually dull the sound. Spiff is pinpoint accurate, zeroing on those pesky blips without affecting the surrounding audio. It's especially helpful when I'm using arpeggiators that has a glitch effect. Some of those glitches can cause audible unwanted clicks, that's when Spiff comes to the rescue. I also use it to smooth out plucks in my ambient tracks. It's a very valuable and transparent tool and definitely a keeper.

This plugin is AMAZING! It reduces harshness and adds clarity at the same time. Unbelievable. Fantastic on guitars, vocals and pianos especially. Also a fantastic part of a mastering chain. I just wish it was more affordable.
