Analogue Drums releases Monotown and Gorilla - Motown and 80s inspired Drum Kits for Kontakt
Analogue Drums has released Monotown and Gorilla, two new drum kits for Kontakt, re-released Kingpin and Plastique, and released a new bundle package of all four products.
Monotown
Inspired by the drums of Motown, Stax and sweet R'n'B from yesteryear comes Monotown. It will drive home the beat to old school funk, soul, rhythm and blues. It'll also fit the bill for current indie and pop where organic production qualities are desired.
Gorilla
Inspired by the likes of Phil Collins and other pioneers of the gated room sound, is Gorilla - a classic 80s Gretsch rock kit, complete with concert toms and Sabian cymbals.
These two kits were tracked to tape at the York St studio in Auckland, New Zealand. Both kits are supplied with separate keyboard-optimised and V-Drum mappings.
They are available as digital downloads from analoguedrums.com priced at $39 each.
Two re-released kits
Analogue Drums has also re-released two kits: Kingpin and Plastique. The re-release is a result of user feedback - both kits have been reprocessed for cleaner samples, remapped for V-Drum support, and have tweaked hihat control for more realism. The update is free for existing owners and all new purchases get the update automatically. Owners can enquire via service@analoguedrums.com to obtain the update.
Tape Series Two Bundle
Gorilla, Monotown, Kingpin and Plastique are also available for purchase together as the Tape Series Two Bundle.
The bundle pricing is $119. Owners of Plastique or Kingpin pay $99 (or $79 for owners of both kits).
