emptyvessel releases Foresting for TAL Sampler in collaboration with Jogging House

emptyvessel and Jogging House have released Foresting, a set of 42 patches for TAL Sampler, suitable for lofi ambient and soundtrack work.

Foresting includes the full WAV copy of Sound Sounds by Jogging House and a set of original samples created by emptyvessel.

Forest bathing/Shinrin Yoku - the conscious and contemplative practice of being immersed in the sights, sounds and smells of the forest. It was developed in Japan during the 1980s, and in 1982 Japan made this form of mobile meditation under the canopy of living forests a part of its national health program. Researchers, primarily in Japan and South Korea, have established a growing body of scientific literature on the diverse health benefits.

According to emptyvessel, the inspiration for the sounds is the love that both artists have for being out in nature and the calm, therapeutic energy they feel when immersed in the forest.

The sounds were created and processed with a diverse and set of hardware. Sources include a Novation Summit, Arturia Polybrute, Sony dictaphone and TAL J-8. All were processed through a small eurorack FX case, Tascam Portastudio 424mk2 and Elektron Octatrack.
